AWC-LAFAYETTE PRESENTS
So You Want to Blog?

Nov Lux Photo

Featuring:  Melanie Lux

How does one become a professional writer? For Melanie Lux, it began at an early age by writing letters to her grandmother. Later, she became the copy editor for Central Catholic’s national award-winning yearbook, The Lance.

She earned degrees in Journalism and Art History from Trinity University in Texas, working as a newspaper and radio reporter while in college. After working for ad agencies in Texas and South Carolina, Melanie launched her own marketing and PR firm in South Carolina, Lux + Associates.

Her clients have included a Fortune 500 global packaging company, health systems and medical schools, major universities, pharmaceutical companies, and startups. Her work has taken her to Europe, India and China. She has written and produced award-winning TV campaigns, earned front page stories for PR clients, helped save lives, and changed entire industries.

The common factor to all of this is the keen ability to help clients find the voice and message that connects with their audience. Melanie is launching a new business called Lux Writes that is focused entirely on strategic messaging and content creation.
